YOGA / ALL LEVELS
A yoga class for all levels of experience from beginner through advanced, with modifications for beginner practitioners and more advanced variations for the advanced student, focusing on stretching and strengthening through asanas, or postures, and pranayama or breathing techniques. Looking for a mindful workout? Looking to tone while you de-stress? Try our All Levels flow classes geared toward intermediate students with modifications for beginners or our more advanced Vinyasa classes. Flow into and out of poses and connect to the breath, synchronizing the mind and the body.
A yoga class consisting of a flowing sequence of asanas or postures and pranayama or breathing techniques designed to stretch and strengthen. A basic knowledge of asanas is recommended.
PILATES ON TH REFORMER
Pilates on the Reformer use springs as resistance to build core strength address imbalances in the body and overall strengthening of the arms, shoulders, legs back and glutes. Pilates will improve posture, increase kinesthetic awareness and help to prevent back pain and aid with recovery from injury. Let our teachers build a repertoire individualized to your needs and help bring the body back into balance.
A mat-based Pilates workout that uses springs attached to the wall-mounted board to add resistance. This small group class is a perfect balance between our Pilates mat work and private equipment sessions. Exercises can be done seated, standing, kneeling and lying down using the resistance of the springs as strength training to build core strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility. Classes will help to articulate the spine, strengthen weak back muscles, while also improving posture and toning arms, legs, glutes and core for an invigorating full body workout.
YOGA / PILATES FUSION
A challenging class designed to stretch, strengthen and tone through a dynamic blend of yoga, Pilates, and dance inspired moves.
A method based on ballet barre work that uses isometric holds and small movements to stretch, shape and tone muscles to create the long, lean muscle tone of a dancer.
Pilates emphasizes the “powerhouse”, the core of the body – the low back, glutes, thighs, and abs. The exercises build core strength and tone arms, legs, glutes and back, strengthening muscles while lengthening without creating bulk.
The Pilates reformer is an apparatus with a sliding carriage and adjustable springs to regulate tension and resistance. Pilates on the reformer increases strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. The movements create better posture, graceful and efficient movement, and relief from pain associated with physical imbalances.
