Pure Yoga Pilates Studio is offering a comprehensive Mat Pilates Certification led by Meredith McFadden and Dr. Bree Westcott. Combining more than 25 years of Pilates teaching experience with a physical therapy perspective, this contemporary training will give you the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to lead safe, effective, and well-balanced Mat Pilates classes.

Meredith McFadden, ADTR, LPCMH, E-RYT-200
Meredith brings more than 25 years of Pilates teaching experience and will lead the contemporary Pilates training program.
Dr. Bree Westcott, DPT
A Doctor of Physical Therapy and certified Pilates teacher, Bree brings an anatomy and movement-focused perspective to the training.

What you’ll learn:
History of Joseph H. Pilates and the Pilates method
Anatomy instruction with a physical therapist
Mat exercises, including muscle focus and movement objectives
Modifications for injuries and individual needs
Safe, effective hands-on adjustments
Clear and confident cueing
How to sequence a well-balanced Mat Pilates class

Certification Requirements
Your training extends beyond the scheduled weekends. Between sessions, participants will complete assigned readings and homework designed to reinforce the material covered during training.

Final written examination
Planning and co-teaching a class during the final training weekend
